Volunteer with AchieveGuilford
Volunteer with AchieveGuilford and give back to your community through
our programs or those within Guilford County Schools or United Way.
Your time and talent are the greatest gifts you can provide to students
as they develop into young adults and leaders at home and at work.
Be a Volunteer or Tutor
AchieveGuilford recruits individuals who support student achievement and success by volunteering time and knowledge. You can make a difference in a child's life by becoming a reading or math tutor, career counselor and coach or resource for student / teacher internships. Spearhead a book drive or organize a school supply benefit. There are many opportunities to serve on a committee or project team.
Volunteer in a School
Guilford County Schools provides numerous volunteer opportunities and a chance for you to take on a greater role within the school system. There's no better way to support school communities than by sharing your special talents and knowledge with students, teachers and staff. The need for volunteers is unique to each school, but the need for volunteers and community partners is shared.
United Way African-American Male Initiative
United Way of Greater Greensboro and Guilford County Schools have partnered to create the United Way African-American Male Initiative to improve outcomes for this youth group. Under the leadership and program implementation of Communities in Schools of Greater Greensboro, committed volunteers will serve as mentors to young men in 2nd to 5th grades.
